That’s the end of the pool stage! The 64 teams that have collected the most points thanks to their performances so far in the tournament and also to the support of their server during the community challenges have been chosen, and are now ready to face off against each other! From now on, any defeat will mean elimination! Only 32 teams will remain at the end of today.

The rule concerning time-based victories no longer applies. The fight will only end when all players in one team have been killed.

The second challenge begins on 08/08/2009 at 00h00 CEST and ends on 9/08/2009 at 00h00 CEST.

Only one thing is required of you over these 24 hours - to kill Blops! Any type of Blop, anywhere - in a dungeon, an arena or on the Plains... Kill them all and offer them up on Goultarminator’s altar for the glory of your server!

The server that kills the most Blops by the end of the day will earn 50 points for its 4 teams!

The first Goultarminator Community challenge begins today! Unlike the events that will come later and take place over a given period of time, these events will continue for the entire duration of Goultarminator!

During the opening ceremony we noticed that many of you players enjoyed nothing more than standing on those mysterious concrete tiles – so we decided to give you another opportunity!

Five caves appeared this morning near the Rocky Plains Zaap (-14, -47). In each of these caves you will find fresh tiles and a whopping mystery to solve!

Each cave comes with a reward of 50 points per team for the server that completes it first.

An additional reward of 100 points per team will be offered to the first server that activates the 5 caves simultaneously.

And so it begins! Starting today 116 teams of champions, split into 29 pools of 4 teams, will face off against each other!

The pool stage is split into two. The two stages will both work in the same way, just the distribution of teams in each pool will change. Each team will have 3 matches in both stages.

The counting up of points will be done across all of the pools. The 64 teams with the most points at the conclusion of their 6 fights will qualify for the final stages. The teams’ points will be affected by their server’s performance during the Community challenges.
